One of the best parts of Amusement Parks are all those yummy foods to sample: Cotton Candy, Corn Dogs, Pizza, Funnel Cake, Candy Apples, the list goes on.  The following are recipes for amusement park-style favorites.  Although we try our best to keep the recipes accurate, there might be a slightly different taste to the product but you shouldn't get sick. Enjoy!

 

KENNYWOOD CORNDOGS

Compliments of www.starrtrek.com

Ingredients:

1 egg, beaten
3/4 c. milk
1/4 c. cornmeal
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. sugar

Preparation:

Mix together all ingredients. Dip hot dogs in the batter and fry
in hot oil until brown.

 

 

CARMEL CORN

Ingredients:

 

1 package popped microwave popcorn

2 ounces sugar

2 Tablespoons water

Preparation:

 

Boil the sugar and water together or until it turns brown. Add 2 more teaspoons of boiling water. Drizzle over popcorn and shake until well coated.

 

BANANA SPLIT

Ingredients

1/4 cup prepared fudge sauce

1 banana

1 medium scoop vanilla ice cream (1/2 cup)

1 medium scoop chocolate ice cream (1/2 cup)

Whipped Cream

Maraschino Cherry

Preparation:

 

Quarte the banana by cutting once lengthwise and then once crosswise at center. Place 2 tablespoons fudge sauce in the bottom of a sundae glass. Add 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream. Place banana quarters upright iwth pointed ends up. Add 1 scoop chocolate ice cream. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons fudge sauce. Top with whipped cream and cherry.
